Text 11 May a sacrificial love

There exists a large mass of people who feel that there is nothing out there for them. No love to be found.  These are the same people who expect things to fall into their lap, as if its their right to experience such. Lamenting on previous failed attempts, on every wailing wind. Instead of seeing some sort of fault within themselves, they arrive at the conclusion that the fault is that love doesn’t exist. The other gender are the forsaken.

There is going to be some kind of sacrifice. You can be right or happy; not both.

Well I tell you that love does exist; I’ve seen it.  I saw an unsightly couple riding a tandem bike in a pharmacy parking lot, but you know what, the only thing that mattered is that they were happy. They have their eyes set on the grander scheme of things, not to be concerned with petty differences; an ideal that the youth aren’t familiar with.

Even more recent I had a conversation with an elderly man, 93 years old.  Unprovoked, the conversation had turned in a different direction, focusing on his personal life. He had been diagnosed with cancer the week before.  To make things worse, his wife had been bed stricken three years prior.  Despite the grim and fearful things occurring in his life, he still holds his wife’s hand everyday; grateful for his 70 years of marriage. truly incredible.

You don’t sacrifice to lose something; You sacrifice to gain something.
