Text 22 Oct love

Just thought I would share some things about love that have been passed on to me.

Everyone’s deepest craving is to be loved.

Love is not convenient.  We must have self-love first; self acceptance; know yourself.

Attitude is a reflection of personality.

Love can’t save life from death, but it can fulfill life’s purpose.

By recognizing that love is accompanied by physiological arousal, physiologists are able to explain why both intensely positive and intensely negative experiences can lead to love.  Stimulate that general attraction -  sexual arousal, jealousy, loneliness, rejection, relief, confusion, and gratitude can all produce intense physiological arousal and thus their negative and positive experiences can deepen the person or another.

The way people label their physiological responses is important in determining the way they feel.  In a situation where those feelings may reasonably be labeled “love” the person may indeed experience love.

Love grows less exciting with time; For the same biological reasons that the second run on a roller coaster is less exciting than the first.  the diminished excitement, however may increase the real pleasure.  Extreme excitement is practically the same as fear, and is unpleasant.  Because of the physciological arousal that acommpanies sexual arousal we can mistake sexual attraction for love.  Sexual attraction creates, for the moment, the illusion of union.

Without love, the illusion of oneness soon disappears and people are left as far apart as before, and in some instances may become more distant.

Love does not give us perfection; it gives us meaning
